Statkraft has concluded an agreement for the purchase of Enerfin, a Spanish renewable energy company. The transaction has an estimated enterprise value of €1.8 billion, including equity and debt, subject to customary adjustments at completion. Blackstone and Vista Equity Partners announced plans to jointly buy Energy Exemplar, an Australian energy market software firm. According to the statement, the purpose of the agreement is to assist Energy Exemplar in expediting technology developments concerning grid stability and the energy shift. Furthermore, both Blackstone and Vista will purchase an equal 50 per cent stake in Energy Exemplar, and Riverside Company, the company’s present owner, will cash out.

EDF Renewables (UK and Ireland) has acquired SAS Energy, a solar energy provider for the commercial and industrial sectors. On September 15, SAS Energy became a fully owned subsidiary of EDF. EDF now owns more than 45 of SAS projects which are both in development and construction. Reportedly, the two companies have a pre-established relationship.

Akaysha Energy, an Australian company with more than 1 GW of energy storage capacity in its portfolio, has been acquired by US investment giant BlackRock. No financial details of the deal have been disclosed. BlackRock has committed to investing more than $700 million to assist the development of battery storage assets in Australia. The transaction was carried out through the company’s Climate Infrastructure business.
