ADNOC and Masdar to join bp’s UK hydrogen projects

ADNOC, a UAE-based energy company, announced its acquisition of a 25 per cent share in bp’s blue hydrogen project, H2 Teesside, during the design stage. Masdar, the Abu Dhabi-based renewable energy company, signed a Mou to acquire a stake in bp’s proposed green hydrogen project, HyGreen Teesside. The project will now be advanced by ADNOC’s first investment in the UK, initially to the next level of design, the pre-FEED stage.

UAE companies aim for 30 GW of renewable capacity by 2030

Abu Dhabi National Oil Co (ADNOC) and Abu Dhabi National Energy Company PJSC (TAQA)  have formed a strategic cooperation on clean energy, with the aim of having 30 GW of renewable capacity by 2030. The new collaboration between ADNOC and TAQA will focus on domestic and worldwide renewable energy and waste-to-energy projects, as well as green hydrogen generation, processing, and storage, and ancillary operations.
