EU strikes gas, hydrogen deal with Argentina

The European Commission and Argentina have reached an agreement for the supply of LNG and collaboration on the spread of hydrogen and renewable energy proliferation. The memorandum of understanding (MoU) will see cooperation in hydrogen, renewable energy, energy efficiency, and natural gas. A “stable and secure” LNG delivery from Argentina to the EU will be established as per the terms of the agreement.

Neoen commissions 208 MW solar park in Argentina

Neoen has completed the construction of its Altiplano 200 solar power plant. The 208 MW solar park is located in Argentina’s Salta region. The plant is Argentina’s second-largest solar project. Altiplano is expected to generate 650,000 MWh of solar-powered electricity every year, which is enough to power 215,000 households for a year. Under a 20-year power purchase agreement, the electricity produced will be supplied to national operator CAMMESA.
