Siemens Energy issues mandatory convertible bond for Euro 960 million

Siemens Energy AG has issued subordinated mandatory convertible notes of Euro 960 million. The pre-emptive rights of shareholders of the company to subscribe for the notes were not included. The notes will be convertible into newly issued or existing registered no-par value company shares. The net proceeds from this issue will be used to partially finance Siemens Gamesa’s voluntary cash offer for all outstanding shares.

KfW to raise around $90-96 billion through green bonds in 2022

German development bank Kreditanstalt für Wiederaufbau (KfW) is planning to raise $90.35 billion to $96 billion of funding in 2022, which will include at least $11.3 billion of green bond issuance. The majority of this finance will come from euro and US dollar benchmark bonds, with initial volumes ranging from $3.4 billion to $5.65 billion.

Fortress REIT issues $61.5 million of sustainability linked bonds

Fortress REIT (Real Estate Investments), a South African hybrid fund that invests in direct properties and other publicly traded real estate firms, has issued a total of $61.5 million in sustainability-linked bonds. The bonds will be used to increase the company’s renewable energy output and provide additional solar energy to the national grid.
