Egypt has formalised a series of renewable agreements covering wind, solar, and battery energy storage system projects. These include plans to establish standalone battery energy storage systems with a total capacity of 5,620 MW. Under the agreement, ENGIE will construct a new anaerobic digestion facility in northern England with an annual biomethane production capacity of 60 GWh.
