Macquarie announces 2.4-GW onshore wind partnership in Australia

Macquarie Asset Management has revealed its partnership with Perth-based Green Wind Renewables Pty Ltd (GRW) to collaboratively build up to 2.4 GW portfolio of onshore wind projects in Western Australia. The companies will collaborate on the projects as a joint venture, which might eventually grow to include more projects. Moreover, the partners have already negotiated land contracts for the projects and will now begin resource monitoring work.

Octopus acquires 10 per cent stake in Borssele III & IV offshore wind farm

Octopus Energy Generation has finalised an agreement to buy 10 per cent stake in the 732 MW Dutch offshore wind farm Borssele III & IV from Partners Group. Partners group  will completely exit the project after the regulatory approvals are received. The company acquired a 45 per cent share in the project in June 2018. It offloaded a 20 per cent investment to Swiss Life Asset Managers last year.

Trina Solar, a Chinese manufacturer of photovoltaic equipment, has planned to build a 5 GW photovoltaic module factory in Texas, entailing an investment of over $200 million.
