Amarenco has secured €500 million in international debt financing from a consortium of lenders, including Intesa Sanpaolo Bank Luxembourg, Rabobank, Santander Corporate & Investment Banking, and Berenberg. The funds will be used to construct solar projects in Spain, Portugal, Ireland, and Austria, as well as to refinance existing debt.
Additionally, the agreement also includes a €150 million accordion facility. This financing is expected to enhance Amarenco’s operational capacity, reduce financial risk, and improve project execution timelines. Amarenco currently operates a solar portfolio with a capacity of 650 MW and is developing a multi-GW pipeline across France, Ireland, Spain, Portugal, and Austria.
In October 2024, Amarenco secured five new solar projects under Ireland’s Renewable Electricity Support Scheme (RESS 4), totaling 29.84 MW, having previously secured projects with a cumulative capacity of 45 MW under RESS 2.
