Tyler Hill Renewables has sold its 390 MW solar plus battery energy storage system portfolio to AMPYR Solar Europe (ASE). The portfolio includes five solar plus storage projects with secure grid connections. These projects are now seeking planning permission. They will be located in Somerset, Worcestershire, and County Durham.

AMPYR agreed to partner with Tyler Hill on the portfolio’s further development until “ready-to-build” status is secured. Construction is expected to begin in 2024. AMPYR’s power purchase agreement (PPA) team simultaneously aims to secure long-term power off-takers for the generated power. Furthermore, AMPYR will have a development pipeline of 1.8GW in the UK, with an aggregate pipeline of 7GW in Germany and the Netherlands.

In November 2022, SolarEnergyWorks was acquired by international solar energy producer AMPYR Solar Europe (ASE) for an undisclosed sum. The agreement also included 15 SEW professionals and a pipeline of ready-to-build assets totaling 100 MWp and 650 MWp that are currently in the development stage.

REGlobal’s Views: This deal comes soon after AMPYR’s acquisition of SolarEnergyWorks and the company has also secured €200 million project finance from Rabobank recently. All these deals will help the company to increase its market share in the expanding European solar market.
