In a 30-year agreement, Solar Bay and Logos will construct and operate 60 MW of rooftop solar PV and 150 MWh of battery energy storage to provide network and retail energy services to Moorebank Logistics Park (MLP) tenants in the New South Wales capital’s Port Botany.
According to the reports, Logos will fund the construction, with Solar Bay managing the embedded network. The precinct-wide microgrid, which will operate at a combination of 11 kV and 33 kV once fully operational, will be able to supply 100 per cent of MLP’s energy requirements during daylight hours and will source electricity from an off-site wind farm to supply renewable electricity outside of peak solar generation periods.
Solar Bay is a Renewable Energy Infrastructure Fund (REIF) that installs and operates generation, storage and microgrids across Australia and New Zealand. On the other hand, LOGOS is a logistics specialist with $26.5 billion of assets under management across 10 countries in Asia Pacific and backed by the ESR Group.
