Invenergy has secured a $1.1 billion debt financing facility for three utility-scale solar projects in Ohio, Indiana, and Tennessee. This financing package includes a construction/bridge loan facility and a letter of credit facility. The projects that this financing applies to are the Cadence Solar Energy Center (240 MW) in Ohio, the Trade Post Solar Energy Center (200 MW) in Indiana, and the Yum Yum Solar Energy Center (150 MW) in Tennessee, which are currently under construction.
Once operational in 2026, these projects will collectively generate 590 MW of power. Additionally, they are expected to bring substantial economic benefits to local communities, including job creation during construction and over $390 million in taxes and landowner payments throughout their lifespans.
Earlier in September 2024, Invenergy along with Monarch Private Capital announced the completion of nearly $170 million in tax equity financing for the Samson Solar Energy Center II in Lamar County, Texas. Developed by Invenergy, the project was expected to deliver major economic benefits, and over $27 million in taxes and contributions to the county and local schools over its lifespan.
