The International Energy Agency recently organised a workshop that focused on innovative regulatory and policy options to scale up rooftop PV in India with the participation of state representatives (nodal agencies, discoms, regulators), industry and international policymakers. A group of experts from Australia, Brazil, Germany and the United States provided insights on policy, regulation and market innovation relevant for India’s rooftop PV market.

This workshop was supported through the IEA Clean Energy Transitions Programme (CETP) and given below are select presentations from the event, elaborating on the emerging rooftop solar policy and regulatory scenario in Brazil, US, Germany and Australia, and the lessons for India.
