Susi Partners, a Swiss funds management firm, has invested in Asia Clean Capital Vietnam, a developer of solar projects (ACCV). The investment, made through SUSI Partners’ Asia Energy Transition Fund (SAETF), is structured as a convertible loan. It contains a sustainability-linked mechanism linking the interest rate to improvements made in the ACCV’s solar PV procurement process’s transparency and traceability.

The founders of Asia Clean Capital, a developer of clean energy solutions in Asia, established ACCV. In Vietnam, the company builds and oversees rooftop and ground-mounted solar PV projects for consumers in the commercial and industrial sectors. Its portfolio, which includes utility-scale renewables, energy efficiency, and customer-focused clean energy solutions, is expected to be complemented by the most recent investment. In addition, SAETF concentrates on energy transition infrastructure investments in Southeast Asia and is backed by private investors, development banks, and development finance institutions (DFIs).

In February 2023, SUSI Partners launched a renewable energy platform to develop renewable energy assets in South-East Asia through its Asia Energy Transition Fund (SAETF). The platform will focus on constructing, developing, and operating utility-scale wind, hydro, and solar photovoltaic (PV) assets. In partnership with local developer Pacific Impact, SUSI’s platform will develop the projects in the South-East Asian markets of the Philippines, Vietnam, Indonesia, Cambodia, and others.
