Alcazar Energy purchases rights to Montenegro wind farm project

Alcazar Energy, a Luxembourg renewable energy developer has completed its acquisition of rights to the 118MW Bijela wind farm in Montenegro following a partnership with the project’s original developers, Simes Inženjering and Sistem MNE. Reportedly, the project will be constructed with an investment of $200 million.

Montenegro to launch new metering scheme for 3000 rooftop PV systems

Montenegro’s public electricity provider, Elektroprivreda Crne Gore (EPCG), and the Ministry of Ecology, Spatial Planning, and Urbanism have launched a net metering scheme to support the installation of 3,000 residential rooftop PV systems. Homeowners will be encouraged to engage in a programme that should provide a five to seven-year investment return.
