TechnipFMC has entered into an agreement with Magnora ASA to jointly pursue floating offshore wind project development opportunities. They have formed a new venture for this called Magnora Offshore Wind. The joint company, Magnora Offshore Wind, is already operational and will bid in the upcoming first offshore wind application round in Norway.
Further, it is working on a proposal for the first round of seabed leasing through the Scottish government’s ScotWind Leasing program. The company is also considering venturing into new markets in the near future.
Magnora is an owner in offshore wind, onshore wind, and solar development projects and is a key enabler in solar energy technologies. Meanwhile, TechnipFMC is a leading technology provider in the traditional and new energy spaces, and also has a novel Deep Purple™ initiative to integrate wind and wave energy with offshore green hydrogen storage.
