Vestas has received a 370 MW wind turbine deal from Xcel Energy for two projects in the US. The turbines will repower two Xcel Energy initiatives, Pleasant Valley and Border Winds. The 213 MW Pleasant Valley project in Minnesota will have 97 V110-2.0 MW wind turbines installed. These turbines will be delivered by Vestas in 2.2 MW operating mode. The 71 V110-2.0 MW wind turbines for the 156 MW Border Winds project, which is being built in North Dakota, will also be shipped in 2.2 MW operating mode. The company expects to begin making wind turbine deliveries in the second quarter of 2025, with commissioning following in the fourth.

In March 2023, Vestas received a 1.3 GW order from Casa dos Ventos, a Brazilian green projects developer. The wind turbines will be installed at two wind farms: the 756 MW Serra do Tigre wind park in Rio Grande do Norte and the 554 MW Babilônia Centro project in Bahia. Vestas would supply, install, operate, and maintain 168 V150-4.5MW turbines for the Serra do Tigre project and 123 turbines for the Babilônia Centro project.
