KKR to invest $1.4 billion in NextEra Energy’s portfolios

KKR & Co. Inc. has announced the signing of agreements with NextEra Energy Resources LLC, a subsidiary of NextEra Energy Inc. and NextEra Energy Partners LP to acquire equity interests in portfolios of contracted utility-scale wind and solar power assets. , KKR will invest a total of about $1.4 billion in two transactions for equity interests in 1,625 MW of renewable energy assets.

New York aims to generate 9,000 MW of offshore wind

To support New York’s position as the hub for the offshore wind industry, NYSERDA, with the assistance of NY Green Bank, Empire State Development and the New York State Department of Transportation, will support this combined solicitation by investing in and upgrading the state’s port infrastructure. The USD400 million in private and public funding is comprised of USD100 million in Empire State Development grant funding, USD100 million in low-interest financing and USD200 million in private sector matching funds.

Engie acquires $528 million wind farm in Australia

ENGIE Australia & New Zealand (ANZ) has announced the acquisition of the 420 MW Hills of Gold Wind Farm, a A$750 million ($528 million) facility from Wind Energy Partners. Located near Nundle, New South Wales (NSW), Australia, Hills of Gold Wind Farm is currently progressing through the planning process.
