Emeren Group Ltd, a global developer, owner, and operator of solar projects, has revealed the successful collaboration with Nuveen Infrastructure, formerly known as Glennmont Partners, in co-developing 199 MW (up to 1.59 GWh) of Battery Storage Projects across two areas in Southern Italy.

This partnership is a joint effort between Emeren and Nuveen, resulting in a combined power capacity of 354 MWp (with a potential capacity of up to 2.83 GWh). Additionally, Nuveen and Emeren will jointly pursue the development of two new stand-alone Battery Storage Projects in Southern Italy’s Apulia region. Construction for these projects is slated to commence in mid-2025, with operations expected to commence in early 2026

Earlier this month, Nuveen Infrastructure agreed to collaborate on the development of approximately 800 MW of battery storage projects in southern Italy, with each company developing a portfolio of approximately 400 MW of projects.
