EDF Renewables North America and Enbridge have signed a deal in which Enbridge will become a 50 per cent partner in the Fox Squirrel solar project. The solar complex is situated in Madison County, Ohio. The Fox Squirrel Solar facility has a total capacity of 749 MWdc/577 MWac and is ground-mounted.

Reportedly, it is being built in three stages, with the first phase planned to be operational by the end of 2023 and the other two by the end of 2024. Furthermore, the project obtained 20-year fixed-price power purchase agreements with a strong investment grade counterparty. Reportedly, final investment choices for the remaining phases of 2024 are contingent upon the fulfilment of specific requirements.

Earlier this month, EDF Renewables North America, NV Energy, McCarthy Building Companies, and the Moapa Band of Paiute Indians recognised the completion of the Arrow Canyon solar plus storage project. The project, constructed by EDF Renewables, began construction in September 2021, with the solar portion completed in December 2022 and the storage portion completed in November 2023.
