KeyState Renewables and Monarch Private Capital, an ESG investment company, have obtained tax equity funds of $100 million for the Glover Creek solar project with Pine Gate Renewables. Pine Gate Renewables is a company that develops, owns, and maintains utility-scale solar and energy storage projects across the United States.

Reportedly, the 76.65 MWdc plant, which is close to Bowling Green, Kentucky, is Metcalfe County’s first solar power plant. Furthermore, it is the state’s second project to receive approval from the Electric Generation and Transmission Siting Board. Over its estimated 40-year lifespan, the 76 MW solar facility will eliminate 95 million tonnes of carbon emissions.

In September 2022, Monarch Private Capital announced the closure of a tax equity investment of $160 million in the 113 MW Longbow Solar project in Brazoria County, Texas. The plant was anticipated to produce clean energy and maintain energy costs for local businesses and residents.
