Sungrow has signed supply and service agreements for a new BESS project with Nofar Energy. The project will be developed in Stendal, Saxony-Anhalt, Germany and will feature the PowerTitan2.0, which is a liquid-cooled energy storage system. The project will have a capacity of 116,5MW/230MWh.
The system will integrate a 2.5 MW power conversion system and 5 MWh battery into a single 20-ft container. The technology reportedly lowers both capital expenditure and operational expenditure costs.
Nofar Energy has been steadily growing its solar and storage portfolio and has initiated and commissioned 1 GW of solar projects in six nations over the past three years. Further, the company has a total of 1.1 GWh of energy storage in operation and under construction, and a total storage portfolio of 7.5 GWh.
