SEG Solar inaugurated the Tomball #1 solar module manufacturing facility in Greater Houston, Texas. The facility represents an investment of $200 million and spans more than 500,000 square feet. The facility has an annual production capacity of 4 GW, thereby bringing SEG’s total US solar module manufacturing capacity to 6 GW annually.
Moreover, the facility features four advanced production lines dedicated to manufacturing SEG’s high-efficiency SIERRA N series HJT modules. The facility also supports both 210 mm and 210R wafer formats and incorporates specialized HJT manufacturing processes, including low-temperature soldering and precision butyl sealant application.
In December 2025, SEG Solar announced plans to develop a 3 GW ingot and wafer manufacturing facility in Batang Regency, Indonesia. The project forms phase I of a broader 5 GW expansion plan for ingot and wafer production. The proposed manufacturing facility is expected to involve an investment of about $80 million, fully funded by SEG. Production at the plant is scheduled to begin in the third quarter of 2026.
