CIP acquires Gawara Baya hybrid project in Australia
Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP), through its Copenhagen Infrastructure V fund, has acquired the Gawara Baya hybrid project located in North Queensland, Australia. The project was acquired from Windlab. The project combines a 408 MW onshore wind farm comprising 68 wind turbines with a 104 MW grid-forming battery energy storage system (BESS). Commercial operations for the project are expected in 2030.
