Maine PUC selects Clearway Energy Group to develop 800 MW wind project
The Maine Public Utilities Commission (PUC) has selected Clearway Energy Group to develop a wind project in Aroostook county. The wind project will have an installed capacity of 800 MW. Additionally, the commission has selected Avangrid to develop a high-voltage transmission line connecting the project to the New England grid. Furthermore, Maine PUC plans to procure 600 MW of electricity from the project, while the remaining power will be supplied to the other New England states.
