Duferco Energia and Ansaldo Green Tech have inked an agreement for the supply and commissioning of a 1 MW electrolyser. This electrolyser is designed to produce green hydrogen as part of the Hydrogen Valley project in Giammoro. The electrolyser is supplied by Ansaldo Green Tech and employs anion exchange membrane technology.

Furthermore, the system is developed within the framework of the IPCEI project and is funded by the European Union’s NextGenerationEU programme. It will be assembled on a new production line currently under construction in Genova Campi. The system will be capable of producing over 500 kg of green hydrogen per day.

Additionally, the Hydrogen Valley project consists of the installation of a 4 MW photovoltaic system to power the electrolyser. It will enable the production of 100 tonnes of green hydrogen annually. The total investment in the project is €10 million.
