Aream Group and Eiffel Investment Group, through Eiffel Transition Infrastructure, have collaborated to establish Aream Solar Ventures. This collaboration aims to build a series of solar PV and battery projects in the upcoming years. As per the agreement, Eiffel will primarily finance the joint venture’s future development costs and buy a 49 per cent stake in the portfolio from Aream. Meanwhile, Aream will be responsible for the development activities.

The joint venture’s objective is to initiate the development of over 500 MWp of solar PV projects in Germany. These projects will encompass both conventional open space installations and agricultural PV systems located in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Saxony-Anhalt, and Brandenburg. The individual development phases are anticipated to take between 18 and 36 months.

In April 2024, Eiffel Investment Group and Landinfra Energy AB finalised a collaboration to develop a pipeline of up to 1,800 MW renewable energy projects in Sweden. These projects encompass solar power, wind power, and energy storage. Under the agreement, Eiffel will acquire a 50 per cent stake in the portfolio from Landinfra, while Landinfra will retain the remaining.

REGlobal’s Views: This deal helps Eiffel Investment Group to make a strong entrance in the mature German solar market. Moreover, the upcoming projects as part of this deal will not only focus on utility-scale ground mounted projects but also agricultural PV projects, that are becoming quite popular across the globe for their dual land-use benefits.
