MaxSolar has secured €155 million HoldCo debt financing from funds managed by Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP). The facility will refinance MaxSolar’s existing HoldCo debt and provide additional capital for the development of its solar photovoltaic (PV) and battery energy storage system (BESS) portfolio in Germany.

The financing will support an approximately 1.3 GW portfolio, of which 465 MW is already operational. The portfolio includes 912 MW of solar PV and 379 MW of standalone and co-located BESS. Of the solar capacity, 440 MW is operational, while 25 MW of the co-located BESS capacity is operational. The new financing replaces the HoldCo facility put in place in 2023 and will provide capital for project construction and selected project acquisition.

Earlier this month, MaxSolar and RP Global commissioned the 49.5 MW Harbke solar PV park in Saxony-Anhalt. The ground-mounted plant has been developed on a former lignite mining site, with MaxSolar handling its design, procurement, and construction.
