Druk Green Power Corporation Limited (DGPC) and B.Grimm Power Public Company Limited (B.Grimm) have inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for the development of renewable energy project in Bhutan. The agreement establishes a framework of future collaboration for developing other renewable energy projects through Special Purpose Vehicles to be incorporated under Bhutanese law.
Furthermore, the partnership between the two companies aims to expand Bhutan’s renewable energy portfolio by integrating solar power alongside hydropower. It also intends to promote clean and sustainable energy generation. This MoU is a step forward in Bhutan-Thailand energy cooperation and sets the foundation for future joint development of hydropower and solar projects.
Earlier in May 2025, DGPC and PTC India Limited inked a MoU for the joint development of hydropower projects in Bhutan. The MoU lays the foundation for enhanced Bhutan-India energy collaboration and strengthens the energy trading relationship between DGPC and PTC India Limited.
