BlueFloat Energy and Renantis have appointed Doris, a French consultant, to design two offshore floating wind farms in Scotland. One of the wind farms, Bellrock is located 50 km north of Fraserburgh, while Broadshore is located 130 km east of Aberdeen. The respective farms will supply 1.2 GW and 900 MW, totaling 2.1 GW.

Doris will utilise its experience in the construction, design, and management – 2015 regulations as the main designer for the two projects, thus planning, handling, monitoring, and coordinating the design risk management activities. It will also provide a quality management system that conform throughout the pre-construction phases, up until the final investment decision. Additionally, it will help in appointing contractors.

In June 2023, BlueFloat Energy announced its plans to construct a portfolio of 7.6 GW of offshore wind projects in the Philippines. The portfolio would be spread throughout four locations: Central Luzon, South Luzon, Northern Luzon, and Southern Mindoro. Each of the sites, with a capacity ranging from 1.5 GW to 3.5 GW, has contracts with the corporation for wind energy service.
