EDF Power Solutions North America has achieved financial close on the Utah Solar 1 project in Millard County, Utah. The project has an installed capacity of 394 MWdc/300 MWac and is expected to enter full construction, with power delivery expected to commence in mid-2027. The project, backed by a 30-year power purchase agreement with the Southern California Public Power Authority, is expected to generate approximately 766,000 MWh of electricity annually.
Furthermore, the project financing was provided by Crédit Agricole CIB, MUFG Bank, National Bank of Canada, Societe Generale and Standard Chartered Bank. MUFG Bank served as the administrative agent, while Crédit Agricole CIB was the initial coordinating lead arranger, with MUFG Bank, National Bank of Canada, Societe Generale and Standard Chartered Bank acting as coordinating lead arrangers and initial lenders for the project. The financing package also includes a tax credit bridge facility, with Crédit Agricole CIB acting as the sole buyer of the project’s production tax credits.
In August 2026, EDF Power Solutions North America signed two 25-year power purchase agreements (PPAs) with NV Energy for the Winston Energy project. The project is located in Lyon County, Nevada. The project combines 400 MWac of solar capacity with a 400 MW/1,600 MWh battery energy storage system. The project is expected to commence operations in October 2029.
