Enel Chile, through its renewable energy subsidiary Enel Green Power Chile, has started construction on its new 204 MW Domeyko solar park, located in the Antofagasta Region. The total investment in the project is estimated to be USD 164 million. This project is part of a 2 GW portfolio of renewable projects. Out of this 2 GW, half is already under construction and the entire capacity will be completed by 2022.

Spread across an area of approximately 700 hectares, the Domeyko Solar Park will have 472,590 bifacial monocrystalline solar modules. The project will produce around 589 GWh of energy once operational. The plant will abate 439,000 tons of CO2 emissions on completion. The Domeyko Solar Park is due to be completed by July 2021.
