Envusa Energy, a joint venture between EDF Power Solutions and Anglo American, has fully commissioned the 520 MW Koruson 2 renewable energy cluster in South Africa. The project comprises one solar park, Mooi Plaats, with a capacity of 240 MW, and two wind farms, Umsobomvu and Hartebeesthoek, with capacities of 140 MW each.

Furthermore, the project is supported by long-term power purchase agreements, with local banks providing 85 per cent of the financing as debt. Pele Green Energy holds a 20 per cent equity stake in the three project companies. The electricity generated by the cluster will be transmitted through Eskom’s national grid.

Earlier, in October 2026, EDF Power Solutions North America and the New York Power Authority (NYPA) announced a partnership for the development of the 240 MW Rich Road solar project in Canton, St. Lawrence County, New York. Under the partnership, NYPA, through its wholly owned subsidiary New York Renewable Energy Development Holdings Corporation, will hold a 51 per cent majority stake in the project, while EDF Power Solutions will remain a minority owner.
