Estuary Power has completed all phases of the Escape Solar and Storage project in Lincoln county, Nevada, reaching final completion in December 2025. The project has 185 MW of solar capacity along with 400 MWh of battery storage. Construction of the solar plants was carried out by Bechtel Infrastructure and Power Corporation, while the battery energy storage system was supplied and installed by Tesla, Inc. Furthermore, Dashiell Corporation completed the substation and associated transmission upgrades, and JinkoSolar supplied the TOPCon solar modules used in the project.

Power from the project is being supplied to four customers in Nevada under long-term arrangements. Following the final completion, the project has begun supplying 115 MW of solar capacity together with the full 400 MWh of battery storage to MGM Resorts International under a 25-year agreement. Additionally, the project had earlier commenced deliveries in June 2025, when 70 MW of solar power started being supplied to Overton Power District No. 5, Caesars Entertainment, and Wynn Las Vegas under separate long-term power purchase agreements.

Moreover, in late 2025, the project achieved financial close through the completion of a tax equity investment by Morgan Stanley Renewables Inc. Additionally, it has converted the term conversion of a construction-to-term loan provided by Denham Capital. The permanent financing structure also includes a letter of credit facility from Norddeutsche Landesbank Girozentrale.

REGlobal’s Views: The project has an interesting mix of consumers – 3 commercial and 1 power utility. Many consumers across the US, whether corporate or commercial establishments like hotels or public utilities, are increasingly opting for renewables to meet their sustainability and clean energy procurements. Recent months have shown a growing demand for energy storage integrated renewables as energy storage becomes more cost-competitiveness and customers now need balanced and firm clean energy.
