Developed by Genneia, the Chubut Norte II Wind Farm has now been launched. The wind farm has been set up at an investment of $39 million. With an installed power capacity of 26.28 MW, the wind power plant will generate 120 GWh of electricity per year. It has six wind turbines of 4.4 MW capacity each. The energy generated from the wind farm will be supplied to several companies including Bimbo, Cargill, Royan Canin, Banco Macro and VASA.

The park operates on the same site where the company’s Chubut Norte I wind farm and the Chubut Norte III and IV projects are already operational. According to the company, the construction of the generation complex required 700 direct jobs in the month of maximum activity. More than 75 per cent of the workforce was local and a large number of suppliers from the region participated in the project.
