Greenvolt Group has secured a financing package from UniCredit comprising €153 million in bridge facilities and a €65 million guarantee facility to support the development of the Ełk and Turośń battery energy storage system (BESS) projects in Poland. The projects, developed by Greenvolt Power, have a combined capacity of 400 MW/1.6 GWh, with each project comprising 200 MW/800 MWh of storage capacity.
Furthermore, the Turośń Kościelna BESS project was officially inaugurated in July 2026, while the Ełk project is expected to achieve commercial operation in the fourth quarter of 2026. The projects are expected to enhance grid flexibility, facilitate renewable energy integration, and strengthen energy security.
In July 2026, Greenvolt Power signed an agreement to sell 57.47 MWp Kira solar PV park, located in southern Hungary, approximately 180 km from Budapest, to PPC Group, for a total consideration of €64.2 million. PPC will also have an option to acquire a 49.1 MW/196.2 MWh co-located battery storage project, subject to the project reaching Ready-to-Build status.
