Grenergy has inked a long-term power purchase agreement (PPA) with a global energy company in Chile. The agreement stipulates the sale of 390 GWh of solar energy annually through a daytime PPA. This PPA will come into effect in October 2026.
The solar energy will be generated by projects being developed by Grenergy in central Chile. Furthermore, out of the total 390 GWh, 110 GWh of solar energy per year will be provided over a 15-year period. The remaining 280 GWh will be delivered over a 12-year term.
Earlier in January 2025, Grenergy secured approximately $324 million in financing for a battery project Oasis de Atacama. The company has secured this financing for phase four of the project, named Gabriela, from international financial institutions BNP Paribas, Natixis Corporate & Investment Banking, Société Générale, Bank of Nova Scotia, and SMBC. This phase has an estimated capacity of 269 MW of solar and 1.1 GWh of storage.
