ib vogt has inaugurated the Segovia Cluster situated in the Segovia region of Spain. The Segovia Cluster consists of four utility-scale photovoltaic plants with a total capacity of 513.1 MWp. The projects include Serbal solar plant with a capacity of 174 MWp, Castaño solar plant with a capacity of 134 MWp, Pato solar plant with a capacity of 110 MWp, and Baobab solar plant with a capacity of 95.1 MWp.

The four Segovia cluster projects comprise 887,409 solar panels and generate approximately 1,036.6 GWh of clean electricity annually. These solar plants are supported by long-term power purchase agreements (PPA) with global companies and the offtakers include Thermo Fisher Scientific, Corning Incorporated, Equinix, and others.

Earlier in March 2025, ib vogt achieved financial close for the 29.99 MW solar project and began construction in Sungei Petani, Kedah, Malaysia. The project was developed by ib vogt APAC under Malaysia’s Corporate Green Power Programme, with AirTrunk as the off-taker under a long-term PPA.

REGlobal’s Views: Germany-headquartered ib vogt has been expanding its presence in the European market with large utility-scale projects. The company has solar projects in various European countries and is now also focusing on battery storage to supply firm solar power to its clients, most of which sign long-term PPAs.
