IGNIS has completed the sale of a 656 MW portfolio of renewable energy projects in Italy. The portfolio has been acquired by flyRen Energy Group SpA, which is backed by Foresight Energy Infrastructure Partners II. The portfolio comprises 28 projects, including solar photovoltaic (PV), battery-hybrid, and wind projects at various stages of development. The sale is part of the company’s asset rotation strategy, with ValeCap serving as financial adviser and Green Horse Legal Advisory and DWF as legal advisers.
Earlier in July 2026, IGNIS and ENGIE signed a long-term flexibility purchase agreement covering 625 MWh of battery energy storage projects in Spain. Under the agreement, ENGIE will use the flexibility provided by the batteries in the day-ahead market for ten years, while IGNIS will retain the revenues from the assets and manage their operation and participation in balancing services.
In January 2026, IGNIS received the operational authorization for testing of its 46.13 MWp Carbeso solar PV plant in Pujalt, Barcelona, Catalonia, following the completion of construction. The authorization allows the plant to begin testing before its final commissioning.
