Wallenstam, a Swedish property company, has announced the sale of three wind farms in Sweden to Jämtkraft, a Swedish energy company, for an undisclosed sum. Wallenstam stated that the sale is part of its strategy to restructure its wind energy portfolio.
The agreement also provides for the 10 MW Stentjärnsen project in Härjedalen Municipality, as well as the 11.5 MW Rätans-Digerberget facility in Berg Municipality. The Middagsberget wind farm in Berg Municipality, with a capacity of 9 MW, is also included in the agreement. The three wind farms consist of a total of 13 wind turbines and have a 30.5 MW net installed capacity. Following the sale, Wallenstam currently owns 53 wind turbines across 17 wind farms, totaling 112MW of installed capacity.
Earlier this month, Renewable Power Capital agreed to acquire four ready-to-build onshore wind projects in Sweden with a total capacity of 528 MW. The $856 million deal included acquisition costs as well as the funds required to build the projects. The four projects, which are in the municipalities of Kramfors and Sollefte in Sweden, are expected to begin exporting power to the country’s national grid in 2025.
