Low Carbon has secured development consent for the Beacon Fen energy park located in Lincolnshire, UK. The project will have 400 MW of solar capacity and 600 MW of co-located battery energy storage system (BESS). The project will generate enough clean electricity annually to power around 130,000 UK homes. The project is expected to offset approximately 72,000 tonnes of carbon emissions annually. The energy park will connect to the grid through the Bicker Fen substation.
In March 2026, Low Carbon reached financial close on the standalone Przeworsk battery energy storage project in Poland near Rzeszow. The project has an installed capacity of 8 MW. The project is expected to become operational in early 2027. The project is being developed by LC Energia and Evercon, with InCommodities, Goldbeck Solar Polska and Trina supporting delivery.
In January 2026, Low Carbon signed two 15-year route-to-market power purchase agreements with SSE Energy Markets for 52 MW of solar capacity. The agreements cover the Feldon Vale and Long Meadow solar projects, located in the West Midlands and South East England. The projects are expected to begin operations in 2026. The projects will supply power to around 28,000 households and avoid approximately 25,000 tonnes of carbon emissions annually.
