Noon Energy and Sabanci Renewables have signed an agreement to co-develop up to 1 GW/100 GWh of ultra-long-duration battery energy storage projects in US. The projects will provide round-the-clock clean power for AI infrastructure. The projects will combine Sabanci’s renewable generation with Noon’s reversible electrofuels battery technology, structured through power purchase agreements.
Furthermore, Sabanci Renewables will contribute through project development insights and capital expertise, while Noon would work on scaling manufacturing, providing technical input, and overseeing operations and maintenance activities for the project. The partnership will support Sabanci’s 3 GW US renewable portfolio target. The project is expected to be commercially deployed by 2027.
In April 2026, Noon Energy signed an agreement with Meta to reserve up to 1 GW/100 GWh of ultra-long-duration energy storage capacity. The agreement will commence with a 25 MW/2.5 GWh project which is expected to be completed by 2028, followed by deployment under the broader supply agreement.
