Ohmium International and Hynfra P.S.A. have signed a cooperation agreement to advance green hydrogen and green ammonia projects in Mauritania, Jordan, and Oman. The agreement covers the front-end engineering and design (FEED) stage and establishes a framework for continued collaboration across the three projects. Under the partnership, Ohmium will provide technical support and expertise in proton exchange membrane (PEM) electrolyser technology during the FEED and project development phases. The projects are being developed to produce green hydrogen that will be used as feedstock for green ammonia production.
In June 2026, Ohmium International and InSolare Energy partnered to develop a 4 MW green hydrogen project for NLC India Limited in Tamil Nadu, India. The project is expected to produce up to 700 metric tonnes of green hydrogen annually. Ohmium International will provide electrolyser technology and manufacturing support for the project. InSolare Energy will contribute its experience in solar, hybrid energy systems, and green hydrogen technologies for the development and execution of the project.
In September 2025, Hynfra signed an agreement with the Government of Mauritania for the development of a green ammonia project in Nouakchott. The project is planned to produce 100,000 tonnes of green ammonia annually starting in 2030. The total capital expenditure for the project is expected to be $1.5 billion. The project will be located in the southern zone of the Somelec wind farm, with exports planned through Port de l’Amitié.
