Palisade Investment Partners, via Intera Renewables, has acquired a 100 per cent interest in the 240 MW/960 MWh Summerfield battery energy storage system (BESS) from Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP). The facility located east of Adelaide, is currently under construction with a scheduled completion date in late 2026. This acquisition bolsters Palisade’s total renewable energy portfolio to 2.5 GW.

The asset features a secured long-term tolling agreement with Origin Energy, ensuring a stable revenue stream and critical storage capacity for the South Australian grid. Blue Power Partners will continue to oversee construction, while Palisade Integrated Management Services (PIMS) will take over asset management once operations commence. The transaction was advised by Macquarie Capital, KWM, DLA Piper, and Ekistica.

In February 2026, NHOA Energy, along with EnergyAustralia and Enerven, announced the official launch of a 245 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS) in Hallett, South Australia, following financial close and the project’s transition into the delivery phase. The Hallett BESS is owned and developed by EnergyAustralia near the town of Canowie, and is being deployed adjacent to the existing Hallett gas-fired power station.
