PPC Group has completed construction of solar plants having a combined capacity of 2.13 GW in Amyntaio and Ptolemaida in Northern Greece. These plants can generate 3150 GWh of electricity annually, which corresponds to 6 per cent of the country’s annual electricity consumption, catering to approximately 750,000 households. Additionally, the plants will avoid more than 1.5 million tonnes of carbon emissions annually.

In March 2026, PPC Group and METLEN Energy & Metals entered into a joint venture agreement to develop battery energy storage systems across Romania, Bulgaria and Italy. The agreement provides for the creation of a JV company in which both will hold an equal 50 per cent stake. The collaboration will focus on the development, construction and operation of a BESS portfolio with a total capacity of up to 1,500 MW/3,000 MWh.

In November 2025, PPC Group set up a 130 MV solar plant in the region of Călugăreni, Romania. The plant is expected to generate 193 GWh of energy annually, thereby catering to the needs of more than 48,500 households. The plant is also expected to avoid 116,000 tonnes of carbon emissions annually. This project is part of the 460 MW of solar parks construction agreement between the PPC Group and METLEN Energy & Metals.
