Qualitas Energy has secured a US$286 million non-recourse financing package for its Chilean portfolio under Qualitas Energy Fund V (QE V). The portfolio comprises eight assets with a combined renewable energy generation capacity of 259 MW and battery storage capacity of 840 MWh. These include 66 MW of operational run-of-river hydropower assets, a 154 MWp solar photovoltaic project integrated with 840 MWh of battery energy storage systems (BESS), and 39 MW of onshore wind capacity.
Furthermore, the solar, wind, and BESS projects are currently under construction and are expected to become operational in 2028. The financing covers eight assets and combines the refinancing of operational projects with funding for projects under construction. The assets are supported by long-term power purchase agreements with offtake companies. Moreover, the $286 million package includes senior non-recourse project financing, letters of credit, and a VAT facility.
Earlier, in September 2026, Qualitas Energy signed an agreement to acquire Cero Generation’s European platform from Macquarie Group. Cero Generation will continue operating under its existing brand as an independent Qualitas Energy portfolio company. The agreement covers a 5.8 GW portfolio across the UK, Italy and Spain, including more than 2 GW of operational, under-construction or ready-to-build assets, along with a 3.8 GW development pipeline.
