Recurrent Energy, a Canadian solar company, has completed the sale of the Mannum battery energy storage system (BESS) project to Epic Energy, an owner and operator of energy infrastructure. Recurrent Energy sold its third energy infrastructure project, the 100MW/200MWh Mannum project, to Epic Energy, located in South Australia.

Reportedly, Epic Energy currently owns the 7 MW Mannum Stage One and 39 MW Mannum Stage Two solar projects, which were both developed by Recurrent Energy. Recurrent Energy selected e-STORAGE as the energy storage solutions provider who will deliver its SolBank energy storage solution for the project. The project is expected to start construction in the first half of 2024 and reach commercial operation in 2025.

In September 2023, Recurrent Energy secured financing of $112 million for the 120 MW North Fork solar plant in Oklahoma from NordLB and Rabobank. Together with Rabobank, NordLB served as the coordinating lead and joint lead arranger for the project.
