RGREEN INVEST, through its INFRAGREEN equity funds, and Renalfa Solarpro Group have entered into an agreement to establish a joint venture (JV) named Renalfa Power Clusters (RPC). The partners have jointly committed €200 million in equity to the JV. The JV company will finance the development and construction of a renewable energy portfolio valued at approximately €800 million. The planned assets will consist of large hybrid renewable energy projects located in Romania and Poland.
Furthermore, the new entity builds on the collaboration between the two companies through their earlier JV, Renalfa IPP. Moreover, RPC will focus on deploying advanced technologies for renewable generation, storage, and dispatch. The JV will also provide demand-side optimisation solutions for low-carbon industries and data centres. Long-duration battery energy storage systems will be used as a core technology within the projects.
In December 2025, Toki Power Holding GmbH, the electricity trading part of Renalfa Solarpro Group, acquired a 150 MW standalone BESS project in Romania. The BESS has a two-hour duration, extendable to four hours, and is expected to become operational by the fourth quarter of 2026.
