TotalEnergies Gas & Power Limited has signed a long-term power purchase agreement (PPA) with Offshore Partners Walney (OPW) for electricity generated by the Walney I and II offshore wind farms located in UK. The projects, located in the Irish Sea and operated by Ørsted, have a cumulative installed capacity of 367 MW.
Furthermore, OPW owns a 24.8 per cent stake in the project. Under the agreement, TotalEnergies will purchase renewable energy guarantees of origin (REGO)-backed electricity from OPW’s share of the project’s generation. The power will be supplied to TotalEnergies until 2030.
In August 2026, TotalEnergies announced the signing of two renewable energy transactions in Europe. Under the first transaction, the company will acquire Shell’s entire onshore renewables business in Europe, including 500 MW of operating and under-construction solar and wind assets and a 3.5 GW development pipeline across Italy, the UK and Spain, while under the second transaction, TotalEnergies has agreed to sell a 50 percent stake in its 1.2 GW European onshore solar and wind portfolio to an insurance account managed by KKR.
