Turkcell Enerji has signed a share transfer agreement to purchase all the shares of Boyut Grup Enerji, the owner of the Karadag wind power facility near Izmir. The enterprise value of the deal is $29.6 million. After adjusting for Boyut Grup Enerji’s net debt, the buyer is to pay $11.5 million, with $500,000 of that amount due in two years. The Karadag wind power plant’s yearly gross income is expected to be around $5 million between 2021 and 2026.
The power plant, which has a total installed capacity of 18 MW, began operations in 2016 and has a license that expires in 2057. The transfer of shares is subject to authorization by the relevant authorities and the satisfaction of several preconditions. Turkcell Enerji, which operates under the Enerjicell name, serves individual and business clients who have the option of selecting their own electricity source.

The Ankara Data Center, Turkey’s first to generate its own energy using solar panels, generates 300,000 kWh of power each year. Furthermore, the company has also attained the capacity to generate 730,000 kWh of energy per year.
