Waaree Energies has completed the delivery of 300+ MW solar modules for CIM Group’s Aquamarine 250 MW solar photovoltaic project,  based in the United States. The PV project is part of the first phase of Westlands Solar Park (WSP) and is located in California’s San Joaquin Valley. For the installation at WSP, Waaree delivered 385Wp and 390Wp mono PERC solar PV modules.

Waaree’s solar modules have completed quality testing at the company’s module production plant, which includes an IEC-CB-CTF laboratory for testing and certification. Waaree has previously completed solar EPC projects in India and Southeast Asia, totaling over 3 GW of solar panels.

The order supports the Indian government’s aim of Atmanirbhar Bharat (making India self-sufficient) and demonstrates Indian manufacturers’ ability to compete in the global market. This deal for Westlands Solar Park resulted in US$105 million in foreign exchange and provided strong job opportunities in India.

Waaree intends to expand its presence in the United States by creating a local office in California soon, encouraged by its sales. With a 2.7 GW renewable energy capacity, WSP is one of the world’s largest authorised solar parks. The 250 MW Aquamarine, which is part of the first phase of the project, is anticipated to start generating electricity in late 2021. The main firm of the Waaree Group, Waaree Energies Ltd, has a solar PV module production capacity of 2 GW. It also offers EPC services. The firm operates at over 375 sites across the United States and in 68 countries around the world.
