Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL) has commissioned a cumulative capacity of 3.37 GWh battery energy storage system (BESS) in Gujarat, India. The deployment includes the 1.37 GWh capacity commissioned in March 2026, taking AGEL’s total operational BESS capacity at the site to 3.37 GWh.
Furthermore, the project was completed within 10 months of the commencement of construction. AGEL plans to add more than 10 GWh BESS capacity in the financial year 2026-27, and further scale this to 50 GWh over the next five years.
In April 2026, AGEL, through its wholly-owned step-down subsidiary Adani Green Energy Twenty Six A Limited, operationalised a 292 MW solar project at Khavda, Gujarat. Also, in April 2026, AGEL through its various step-down subsidiaries, operationalised 951 MW of renewable projects across Baiya, Rajasthan and Khavda, Gujarat, comprising 251 MW at Baiya and 700 MW at Khavda.
